A response to the world of advertising and image overkill: the energy of the process: angry, bold, snotty, real, messy, provocative, colourful, loud and shrill. Punk and pop. The collages in small format and their installation into large mosaic-like murals reflect mass consumption, the permanent viral self-dramatisation and the restlessness of our time. With the experimental alienation (overpainting, tearing, overgluing, transfer printing, decollage) of the perfectly staged longing motifs, I oppose ideals of beauty and entrenched norms and question patterns that conform to the market. Chance and intuition play a strong role, the process takes centre stage. 10x10, 20x20 cm, mixed media on canvas.
